the best music from the 80's, 90's, and... uh... TODAY!

now that the last year of the decade is winding down, we are finally coming to a consensus on the ubiquitous question (why was this not solved in 1901?):

"what do we call this decade?"

this great article pulls several sources together and examines the many names that people have used to refer to the period between 2000 and 2009.
Other names suggested over the years have included the “diddly-squats,” “the double naughts,” “the double nuts,” “the double ohs,” “the double zeroes,” “the goose eggs,” “the naughties,” “the naughts,” “the nillies,” “the nots,” “the oh-ohs,” “the pre-teens,” “the uh-ohs,” “the unies,” “the zeds,” “the zero zeros,” and “the zilches.”
while the naughties is humorous, the author also points out that only one name is used consistently WITHOUT the presence of quotation marks or a winky face, and that is the aughts.

now we just need to figure out what 2010-2019 is called. just the teens?
